Island Health will hold a career fair, hosted by Human Resources, on Thursday, October 26 to recruit staff for critical-need positions. The fair will be held in the Fidalgo conference room from 4 – 6 p.m. and will include meet and greets with department leaders, on-site interviews, question and answer sessions with Human Resources, and networking opportunities.
Human Resources Director James Glade said the fair is an excellent opportunity to explore a wide range of careers with great benefits.
“Whether you’re a new grad or experienced in your field and considering a change, this event is the perfect occasion to connect and learn more about joining Island Health’s 5-star team,” Glade said. “We’re looking for purpose-driven people who want to help others in a job that makes a difference every day.”
Some of the critical-need positions include:
- Nurses (Labor & Delivery; Surgery; PACU; ICU; Emergency Department)
- Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) / Patient Care Technicians
- Environmental Services Technicians
- Medical Assistants (MAs)
- Clinic LPNs and RNs
- Ultrasonographer
- Physical Therapists; Occupational Therapists; Speech Therapists
