San Juan County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the public to help identify a serial burglar who has been striking Eastsound businesses late at night.

Most recently, this burglar hit Shinola Jewelry in the wee hours on February 9 or 10. The suspect removed the bars that were covering the window and entered the shop. At this time approximately $20k worth of jewelry taken. With no solid leads, the community is being asked to step in with any information.

Someone, other than the perpetrator, knows who did this. Look at the short video, examine the suspect’s gait, his or her clothing (including those distinctive shoes), the hoodie, everything about him or her. Freeze the video as the face comes into focus. Someone you know? Don’t want to be a snitch? Consider what could happen to the individual, to the next victim in a face-to-face confrontation, if we don’t put an end to this burglary series.
We owe it to the community, our friends and neighbors, the victims of this and other recent burglaries (and, indeed, the person who broke into Shinola Jewelry) to organize, mobilize, and partner with our Sheriff’s Office to put a stop to this series.
Take a good look at the perpetrator’s eyes in the video. Often eyes are a dead giveaway-especially from people who know them.
I believe that there are folks who know who this is but won’t talk.
Money talks. Perhaps a reward kitty should be started. We would definitely donate to this cause.

It would appear he’s adding padding to hide his slender build. A poor observation but accurate. He’s not small in higth. What else??
To clarify-the eyes I speak of were in a previous posted video and photos of someone involved in another illegal act. This may or may not be the same person. But it will be interesting to note similarities if any.
