[On Monday, February 18], at 9:19 am, Deputies on Orcas Island received a report that a male had driven to the Fire Station with a single gunshot wound to his chest.
The male, a resident of Orcas Island was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle to be treated for his injuries. The male appeared to be in serious, but stable condition.
There is no reason to believe that the public is at any risk with the information that we have at this point.
[The Sheriff’s Office is] actively working on this case, so there is no further information to release at this time.
