Aiden McGregor, Cody Johnston and Kai McGregor hold their "Rocket Ship of Wonder" Best-of-Show award. Gwydion Marreth, who also shared in the award, is not pictured.

School Principal Kyle Freeman will be found at — or in!–  the Dunk Tank, sponsored by the PTSA

The Funhouse, now morphing into  a new name, “The Orcas Commons” will hold a Back-to-School Carnival with tables and events by various island non-profits such as Montessori, Orcas Christian School, Kaleidoscope, Readiness to Learn and the Orcas School PTSA. The family fun includes a couple of bouncy houses, carnival games, hot dogs, and more!

Cotton candy, popcorn and hot dogs will be served; coupons were mailed to all island families for a free hot dog at the event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funhouse membership is open to all. Scholarship information is available at the front desk.

At the Carnival Funhouse/Commons staff will unveil significant changes to the Funhouse building–changes that “we believe will make this a true community center” says Executive Director Pete Moe.

They will be redoubling efforts to serve family and community through their TEAM programs, while putting less emphasis on being a tourist destination.

To be a part of the Funhouse/Commons, all ages are encouraged to call 376-7177. The website is at thefunhouse.org
