The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and will offer pie, coffee, and an interesting topics pertaining to college.

“Life After High School” will feature Financial Advisor and Financial Education Specialists Peg Keane Keough and Denise Freeland. They will be discussing financial aid strategies; tax issues affecting savings plans, college funding options and more. This is a great presentation for parents with students of ALL ages!

Arlene Prince and Catherine Pease Barnhart will also present current trends in college admissions and advise on how best to support potential college applicants. Attendees will take home a special gift related to college preparation and have the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one sessions with these experts.

The Funhouse and Orcas Island High School are teaming up for the annual “Futures Fair” on Tuesday, September 30th.

For the eighth year in a row, The Funhouse is hosting professional college counseling consultants. Arlene Prince, along with Catherine Pease Barnhart, will offer presentations for sophomores and up, as well as individual sessions for students and their parents. This will be during the school day Tuesday, September 30th.

They will focus on college admission, high school curricular choices, standardized test performance, college choices, the college application process, and specifics every potential college student should know.

The college counseling consultants and financial education specialist will also be offering one-on-one advisory sessions throughout the Futures Fair. Parents are strongly encouraged to call The Funhouse Commons to schedule one of these invaluable sessions.

While there is no cost for attending these sessions, The Funhouse suggests a donation of $25 to help offset the cost of bringing these top Northwest experts to our community.

Please call Kim at the Funhouse, 376-7177 or email kim@thefunhouse.org for more details or to schedule an individual session.
