Kids 17 and under FREE!
Have you ever walked along a forest path, picked up interesting leaves, pods, twigs or seeds and thought, “I’d love to make something with this”?
The Olga Strawberry Council is hosting a workshop this Saturday, May 7, just for you! Maine intermedia artist, Leah Gauthier, (www.leahgauthier.com) will be conducting a hands-on fun and informative workshop on creating beautiful artful creations with food (dehydrated or fresh) and items found in nature. In Leah’s words, “I farm and forage, dream up notions and brew potions. I seek to engage all of the senses. Some works must be eaten to be understood.”
Create your own art with food and/or natural materials, using the techniques and creativity learned by Leah when she started growing food as art about 6 years ago. It all started with a nectarine in Spain.
Saturday, May 7, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Olga Community Club (Olga Energenics Bldg). Call 376-3371 to let us know you’ll be coming! $40 per person (kids 17 and under free!)
Bring Mom. Bring kids. Bring a friend!
