Jane Alden continues her classes on works of Shakespeare with an 8-week workshop on HAMLET. The class will meet on Mondays, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Orcas Island Library Meeting Room beginning on Monday, September 26. The cost is $65 per person, and the class limit is 10 students. Registration is now open at the Library.
Learn some basics about understanding and managing your day-to-day personal finances in a FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOP with Betty Barats. Clarifiy your financial goals and learn to manage your money in order to achieve those goals. Betty is a prosperity coach as well as a retired educator and administrator with experience in budgeting and bookkeeping. Sign up for one of two sessions at a time that fits into your schedule: either Tuesday, Sept. 27th from 10:30 to 12:00 noon OR Thursday, Sept. 29th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The workshop will be held in the Orcas Island Library Meeting Room. The cost is $16 which covers the workshop as well as take-home materials. Please sign up in advance at the Library.
Beginning on Monday, October 3, Dr. Virginia Erhardt, licensed psychologist, will be leading a 3-week class for adults called SELF-HYPNOSIS FOR A HEALTHIER, SLIMMER YOU. Learn self-hypnosis to harness your imagination and your subconscious mind, empowering yourself to change your relationship with food and your activity level, resulting in the capacity to enhance your thinking, your emotions, your body, your life. Classes will be held on Mondays, Oct. 3, 10, and 17, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Orcas Island Library Meeting Room. The cost is $15 per person, and the class will be limited to 20 adults. These classes have filled up quickly in the past, so please register early at the Library.
PLAYING WITH WORDS, SHAPING POEMS: The Practice and Art of Poetry with JoEllen Moldoff will be meeting in the Orcas Island Library Meeting Room on eight Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. beginning October 4. The cost is $15.00 per person. Please register in advance at the Library.
