Nov. 5 returns from the County Elections office, one day after the voting closed, show that Ron Krebs’ lead in the race for Sheriff has grown to 4,449 votes for Krebs as County Sheriff vs. 2,320 votes for Rob Nou, a 65.73 to 34.27% difference,

The Orcas Island School District Facilities and Technology Modernization Levy has now won 1414 votes or 65.04% of the vote.

San Juan County Proposition No. 1, (the San Juan County Six Year Levy Lid Lift replacement) garnered 4,319 approving votes, or 61.64% of the ballots cast as of  Wednesday evening.

The race for County Treasurer shows that Rhonda Pederson holds 55.43%  of the votes recorded, or 3,332 votes. Tony Fyrqvist holds 44.57% of the vote, or 2,679.

County Clerk Joan White, incumbent, increased her lead over Nancy Vejvoda  to 4,094 votes  (67.95%) vs. Vejvoda’s vote count of 1,931 (32.05%).

In State Measures, Initiative Measure No. 591 (due process for firearms sales and transfers) was rejected in San Juan County by 4,668 votes, or 65.59%)

Initiative Measure No. 594 (background checks for firearm sales and transfers) was approved by 4,963 county voters (68.86%.)

Initiative Measure No. 1351 (lower class sizes) won 4,067 votes, or 57.39% in San Juan County.

In national offices, District 2 Representative Rick Larsen holds a healthy lead of nearly 69% of the county vote over his opponent B.J. Guillot.

In the state legislative races, Legislative District 40 State Representative Pos. 1, Kristine Lytton leads over opponent Daniel R. Miller by a 69.89% county approval vote.
