The indoor labyrinth at Emmanuel Episcopal Parish Hall

Nancy Ayer, M.A., an Advanced Labyrinth Facilitator, is offering a Labyrinth Workshop, “Myth, Story and the Labyrinth: Awakening to New Growth,” on Friday, June 18.

A labyrinth is an ancient symbol found throughout the world, across cultures and spiritual traditions.  Experiencing a labyrinth can be a powerful tool for  self-exploration, awakening to your own creativity, and renewal. This ancient archetype has universal appeal and unlimited uses. A labyrinth walk is as individual as each person who walks it.”

The schedule for the workshop at Emmanuel Episcopal Church Parish Hall is:

10 a.m. to noon  – Working and Teaching Together

  • Experience the indoor labyrinth
  • Discover the ways our soul speaks to us through myth, story and the labyrinth.
  • Interpret an ancient Greek myth from your perspective

Noon to 12:30 p.m. Lunch (Bring you own lunch. Coffee/Tea will be available)

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.  –    Personal Story Timeline.  The Goldfish Bowl, a story.

1:30 – 2:00 p.m. – Personal reflection, sharing, taking your story to the Labyrinth.

Discover the fascinating world of ancient myth and find out how these stories relate to the labyrinth experience. Learn how the gods and goddesses of old continue to stir within each of us today and influence our behaviors. Myths connect us deeply to ourselves, our ancestors, and to the soul of the labyrinth. Mythic stories can be used as a basis for revealing and understanding each of our personal stories. Find your own story embedded in an ancient myth we will share with the group.

Bring a notebook or personal diary. There is no fee for the workshop; donations are accepted for upkeep of the labyrinth on the lawn.

Register by June 15th to stxnancy@gmail.com.
