Tuesday, August 16 – Friday, August 19
Arun Gandhi, a grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, belongs to the rapidly vanishing generation who lived with and learned directly from Mahatma Gandhi. He will be facilitating a workshop at Indralaya that will explore what it means to live a life rooted in peace. Accordingly, it is only in this way that we can create peace in the world.
Mahatma Gandhi said peace can come only through nonviolence, so what is nonviolence? Is it just absence of war and conflict? Or something more subtle? The workshop will explore all the ramifications of nonviolence, how to recognize it, how to deal with it, and, most importantly, how to live it.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m. through Friday, August 19 with, morning, afternoon and evening sessions. The cost is $70 for local and day visitors.
Founder/president of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, Arun Gandhi has also established the Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute (www.gandhiforchildren.org) to raise funds and build schools for impoverished and exploited children around the world. He is the author of numerous books, including Legacy of Love, In the Footsteps of Gandhi: Conversations with Spiritual Social Activists which he co-authored with Catherine Ingram and Michael Nagler, and Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life which he co-authored with Marshall Rosenberg.

Could this very important spokesman for Living Peace give the general public an evening or afternoon workshop or talk on Sunday, the 21st? So many people would like to hear his message.
Senior Center?
Unfortunately, Arun Gandhi is leaving on Friday, August 19.
