— from Marian O’Brien —
The Concerto Project, a new Pacific Northwest residential community for the intellectually or developmentally vulnerable, and young adults on the autism spectrum, has been granted pro bono legal services to start up the 501(c)(3). Principal Sarah Jordan, of Jordan Law Firm of Seattle, chose the Project after a rigorous vetting process by the group Wayfind. Wayfind’s attorneys have helped hundreds of nonprofits by providing free legal assistance to enable innovative nonprofit ideas to emerge in order to establish long-term stability and to help strengthen communities.
Jordan commented, “I am pleased to be assisting The Concerto Project with legal counsel and representation. I was drawn to the organization’s well-planned strategies for making the project a reality and the clear passion of Marian and the other board members in achieving success. Through sound legal counsel and thoughtful business advice, I hope to help The Concerto Project grow into a sustainable, supportive community for our vulnerable friends, families, and neighbors.”
Plan to attend the official LAUNCH CONCERTO event, on Saturday, September 20, from 2:30-4:30 at the Orcas Island Senior Center, where speakers will present the plans for the community and answer questions. For information see: www.concertoproject.org or contact info@concertoproject.org.
