Popular website class in 3 sessions again offered

By Martin Arnold

The Orcas Island Library’s website is more than just the home page on the Library’s public access computers. The Library’s web site is an information portal to the World Wide Web.

From this web site you can access old newspapers, gather information on repairing your car, check out the latest consumer report ratings, and discover e-learning opportunities. Students can locate learning resources on the Homework Help page.

Library patrons can download audio books and e-books for free, request interlibrary loans, use the community information page to locate a meeting room or non-profit on the Island.

And all this can be done without coming to the Library!

Martin Arnold, Public Services Librarian and Webmaster, will conduct three stand-alone two-hour classes at the Library that will explore the above topics and more.
• Tuesday, March 27 @ 10:00am
• Wednesday, March 28 @ 1:00pm
• Monday, April 2 @ 6:00pm
Contact Martin at the Library by phone – 376-4985 – or email – marnold@orcaslibrary.org.
