Immediately following the Student Chef Competition this Saturday, the community is invited to come to a Taco Feast at the school cafeteria!

K-8 Principal Kyle Freeman and school chef Zach Holley will be serving to the community what they have created, from scratch… a bountiful feast of tortillas, beef and pork fillings.  Delicious refried beans cooked up by Janet Brownell and Spanish rice prepared by Allison Russo round out the menu along with all the fixin’s including fresh salsas and sour cream.

And, if that’s not enough, a table filled with a huge array of delicious home made desserts will be available to everyone for a donation of any size to round out the dinner.

During the meal, there will be a slide show of previous competitions, and guests will have the opportunity to meet this year’s budding chefs as they are recognized for their remarkable achievements earlier in the day.

A delicious and fun event for just $10 per person.  Kids 10 and under $5.  Tickets may be purchased from Roann at the Elementary School Office, Georgia at the High School Office and in Eastsound at the Chamber of Commerce Office.   Funds raised by this event will be used to purchase produce and meats from Island farms for the public school lunch program.
