[A] reminder that Eastsound Water’s Annual meeting is Tuesday night at the Fire Hall at 6:30 pm.
The Annual meeting’s Board Election requires a “membership quorum”. There are three ways to participate in helping insure a quorum is achieved and the election of new board members is possible.
First and ideally, you will attend the meeting and complete your ballot there. It is possible to just stop by, vote, and leave if you wish.
If you can’t make the meeting; EWUA Bylaws provide a voting by proxy. Members can empower other members to vote their proxy, or can empower the EWUA Board to vote your proxy.
The attached PDF has copies of the proxy forms, which are the same as previously sent.
Normally, EWUA has adequate proxies in advance of the meeting to insure a quorum. Currently, that is NOT the case this year.
Please help with either attending the meeting or voting via proxy. You can fax your proxy in, drop it off, or scan and email it in. Email proxy to ewua@rockisland.com OR fax to 888-532-2470.
Please send in your proxy if you are not planning on attending the annual meeting – as of the last count I heard from Paul Kamin we may be in danger of not having an official quorum of members to elect the Board, which will require EWUA to reschedule another annual meeting.
They are the same as previously sent? I never received anything and wonder if that has anything to do with the paperless billing. I wonder how many others didn’t receive a proxy. I always had in the past, just not this time.
I’m happy to share that I know several property owners that will be at this meeting and many more proxies being brought as well.
So not to worry, it will be a great meeting.
