Marianne Binetti, host of “Dig In Seattle”, a cooking and gardening show on KJOE-TV, will be the keynote speaker at the San Juan County Master Gardener Fall Gardening Workshop in Friday Harbor, on October 10, 2015. As first speaker at this-day long event, Marianne will present “The Renovated Garden and Rejuvenated Gardener”.
You may recognize Marianne from her many appearances on HGTV. She is also known for her light-hearted and fun approach to garden writing. She writes a syndicated column that runs in over a dozen newspapers, writes a weekly column for the Tacoma News Tribune garden page, and is the author of ten gardening books. Her latest book is Vegetable Gardening for Washington & Oregon, published by Lone Pine Press. Some of her other titles include: Edible Gardening for Washington & Oregon; Container Gardening for Washington & Oregon; and Herbs for Washington & Oregon, all published by Lone Pine Press.
Marianne is a Seattle native and has a B.A. in horticulture from Washington State University. She loves to organize tours for gardeners to see beautiful gardens around the globe, and just recently returned from a garden tour in Italy.
If you are a well-seasoned gardener, you will appreciate Marianne Binetti’s tips on how to upgrade, energize and renew a mature or overgrown landscape. She will also explain how to organize your time in the garden so you can do more in less time, and minimize sore muscles and injuries.
This event will take place at Friday Harbor Middle School, on San Juan Island, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm., Saturday, October 10, 2015.
