On August 21, the bridge at Mountain Lake dam was closed to hikers due to structural deterioration. There were no established alternate routes around the bridge at that time, although Moran Park staff posted signs at all trailheads and approaches.
Moran State Park’s Kate Korus reports the bridge at Mountain Lake has a temporary repair and is now open.
“We are looking forward to permitting and funding a more permanent fix,” added Korus.
