Saturday-Monday, November 8-10, 9:30am-4:30pm
Skill level: This class is best for students who have some experience working with pastels.
As you distill a landscape painting into fewer and fewer shapes, they tend to become more and more abstract. Barbara Noonan’s workshop will concentrate on this approach and others, using photographs as source material to convert landscapes into less literal translations. With her guidance you will tap into your own personal interpretation of everyday scenes.
Pastel will be used as the primary medium, experimenting with various underpainting and multimedia techniques.
Come join Barb for this 3 day workshop where you will train yourself for the mantra, “less is more”.
