||| FROM BRUCE HANNA |||

I wrote this for the traditional thankful gathering of friends and family. I wrote it in 2002, the year my wife died, and most of my kids were together thereafter. For many of us, this year has been such a time — of sacrifice and tragedy.

I give thanks
to my family and friends

that you are
who you are

hungry for life
and the adventure of self

that our hearts
still sing

that we find meaning
In the new

and honor
the past

that we celebrate
the sights smells,

tastes and sounds
of life

that we share
laughs,

smiles, touches –
freely and fully

that we embrace
each other’s nuances

that we continue
to choose

to care
for all that beckons.

Happy Thanksgiving…
Bruce Hanna.
