July 6-7, July 13-15, 7:30 p.m. at The Grange
The Actors Theater of Orcas Island announces five performances of a fully staged reading of the one-man play “Einstein: A Stage Portrait” with local actor Tony Lee in the role of Einstein.
This play, written by Willard Simms, presents the private, personal, and deeply human side of this great genius, the reluctant celebrity who changed forever the way we look at the universe, showing, through a string of humorous and insightful anecdotes, his metamorphosis from a bored high school dropout to the winner of the Nobel Prize.
This is a view of Einstein that shows the largely unknown personal side of the most famous scientist of the last century.
Einstein: A Stage Portrait opens at the Grange on Friday, July 6th with additional performances on Saturday, July 7th, Friday, July 13th, Saturday, July 14th and Sunday, July 15th. All performances are at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and are available at Darvills, on line at www.orcasactors.com or at the door. For additional information, contact director Doug Bechtel at 317-5601. This play is suitable for all ages.
