Orcas Island Airport Fly-In Friday through Sunday.

Town Hall Meeting, Eastsound Fire Station, 4 – 5:45 p.m. County Council Members Richard Fralick, District 4, Orcas West and Patty Miller, District 5, Orcas East, will host the first of three Town Hall Meetings on the Update of the Critical Areas Ordinance  Shireene Hale of the San Juan County Department of Community Development and Planning will lead the discussion. The topics for the meeting will be a summary of progress on the Update and a detailed discussion of the General Section that includes the Reasonable Use Exemption.  Orcas members of the Planning Commission have also been invited to attend.  A copy of the General Section of the Critical Areas Ordinance Update is available on the County website www.sanjuanco.com under Special Projects, CAO, Notices & Documents

Red Cedar Circle at Odd Fellows Hall, from 5 to 11 p.m. Scott Punches, Kil lenkeh kah, will be offering, by donation, Northwest Coast Native American Medicine Teachings.  He has studied with Northwest Coast Shaman Johnny Moses, Whis.tem.men.knee, for many years . Potluck dinner at 5,  please bring what you would like to share.  We will be having a song and prayer circle, a dancing circle and a traditional healing ceremony later in the evening.  Children are welcome and please bring your musical medicine instruments.  Call Che at 376-4012 for more information.
