The Orcas Island Yacht Club will host it 2011 Commodore’s Ball, a dinner/dance on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Titled “A Winter Fantasy,” the annual ball will welcome the 2012 incoming Commodore John McLeod. The event will be held at the Rosario Mansion Dining Room at 5 p.m., beginning with cocktails at a no host bar. The dinner, to be served at 6, offers the choice of braised beef short rib or pan seared free range chicken breast with salad and dessert.
Dance to music provided by Martin Lund and Gene Nery and friends. Dress is Black Tie requested (optional); the cost is $55 per person.
