All our terminals are now equipped with new turnstiles that can scan tickets on mobile devices. That means walk-on customers across our system can now ride our ferries without any in-person transactions. To better protect our customers and employees against the spread of COVID-19, I encourage everyone to buy tickets online or at a self-serve kiosk. Both options are now allowing the purchase of youth, senior and disabled fares, all of which in the past required in-person proof of eligibility. For those driving on, each tollbooth has handheld scanners that can scan items from a distance, along with sneeze guards and credit card readers attached to selfie sticks.

New turnstiles that scan mobile devices allow our walk-on customers to now go completely contactless if tickets are purchased online or at a self-serve kiosk.

If you have to catch a ferry right now, I suggest reviewing our current schedules, signing up for email alerts, checking terminal conditions and reading our COVID-19 travel updates before coming aboard.

Fall vehicle reservations release postponed to Sept. 10

Today’s initial advance release of vehicle reservations for our fall season has been postponed due to an unplanned technical problem with the system. Reservations for Sept. 27 through Jan. 2, 2021, will now be available starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.

As a reminder, reservations are available only for our Anacortes/San Juan Islands and Port Townsend/ Coupeville routes.
