Here’s a unique opportunity! The Farm to Cafeteria Program is once again holding the Fourth Annual Orcas Island Cider and Mead Festival on Saturday, May 10.
It’s an expensive trip and a long day for a producer to come or send reps and product to the island, offer free tastes to those who visit the big tasting tent for the day, then have to pack up and return home to the mainland that evening.
It would be really nice and very “Orcas-friendly” to be able to offer free or very low-cost lodging opportunities to them if they wished to stay on Orcas for the night. Also, it’s a wonderful way to get to know some of our truly great cider and mead producers in the Northwest.
If you have an available ADU, guest house, room in your home or lodging facility and would like to offer it as a place to stay for one of our cider and mead producers for the evening of May 9 or May 10, let’s talk!! Madie Murray • 360-376-3371 • gomadie@gmail.com
