Delightful garden-oriented decorations adorn the Farm to Cafeteria tree at Rosario.

By Madie Murray

Mandy Randolph’s Farm to Classroom students spent two weeks creating the more than 200 decorations, along with sparkling pine cones and popcorn strings that adorn the Farm to Cafeteria tree on display at the Rosario Mansion during the month of December “Festival of Trees.” It is their hope to win a prize so a new scale and cooking items may be purchased for their classroom.

To help them win, visit the Mansion during December and purchase “vote” tickets for $1 each at the front desk. You may buy as many tickets as you wish, then “vote” for your favorite tree by placing a ticket – or a lot of tickets – in the box located at the tree of your choice. The three trees receiving the most “votes” will win monetary prizes for the non-profit the tree represents. We’re hoping the F2C tree will get the most votes, with your help!

The Moran Mansion is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a special open house with hot apple cider and cookies is occurring this weekend to kick off the tree display.
