Sunday, October 12, 11:30 a.m., Benson Hall
The topic for Sunday is the First Principle of Unitarian Universalism: “We covenant to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person” – or, as sometimes paraphrased, “I love humanity; it’s people I can’t stand.” Come join us in discussion how we live the first principle in our daily lives.
This new small-group-ministry format is loosely based on the Unitarian Universalist tradition of Covenant Groups: a leader introduces a topic with a reading and then participants engage in a structured discussion and sharing. Each meeting will be followed by a potluck lunch. These C-Group-style meetings will be held on the second Sunday (once a month) at Benson Hall beginning at 11:30 am. The potluck and ongoing conversation begins at 12:30 pm in the Emmanuel Parish Hall. If you plan to come to the October 12 service, please bring a salad or dessert to share.
All are welcome regardless of faith or experience with a discussion group. No ongoing commitment is required; people may join in these meetings whenever the topic is of interest.
