Tickets for the 2012 ‘History Lives Here’ Historic Barns Tour, sponsored by the Orcas Island Historical Society, are now available online at: orcasmuseum.org/Orcas_HIstory_Lives_Here .

Tickets are also available at the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce, the Art of the Salish Sea store (next-door to The Nest) and from the Orcas Museum office at 376-4849.  Purchase tickets early to be eligible for our last drawing for special prizes and an extra free ticket.

This self-guided tour features seven historic barns, all on the west side of Orcas Island, over a two-day period on Saturday and Sunday October 13 and 14.  The Orcas Museum will also be open with an exhibit on historic barns, and a two-day silent auction ending on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Special presentations and demonstrations, as well as informational materials will be at each location on the tour.

Top off a fun day on Saturday by attending the Barn Dance at West Sound Community Hall with live music featuring ‘Hands Four’ from San Juan Island, and Mike Cohen as caller.  Barn Tour ticket-holders get half price off the Barn Dance $10 door admission, as well as a 10% discount on dinner at the West Sound Café that evening.
