On September 9-11, Indralaya will be hosting Theosofest, an open house weekend for which several events are planned. You are warmly invited to visit for as much of the weekend as you can.
All are welcome and drop-ins are fine – there is no need to register in advance.
Here’s a quick summary of what’s happening:
- Friday, September 9, 7 to 9 p.m., Essence Art Exhibition, Opening Reception
The weekend will begin on Friday evening with an opening reception of the Essence art exhibit, being coordinated by Régent Pellerin and Sandy Hedrich. This deeply intentional exhibit will feature local Island artists whose works portray unity, an-going unfoldment of being, and freedom of thought, core principles of the theosophical tradition. Some of the artists will be present at the reception which will include refreshments. The Essence art exhibit will be on display throughout the weekend. - Saturday Morning, September 10, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Open House, including tours of the grounds
Presentations and workshops, 45-60 minutes each, at 9:30 & 11:00

- Introduction to Biography, Kathi Ciskowski & Polly Sanford
- The Iona Method, Lynn Reilly
- The Quest: Dion Fortune, Liz Francis
- Creating Mandalas, Kim Fairbanks
- The Labyrinth, Dave Rowley
- An Introduction to Theosophy, Stanton Stevens & Amelia Bare

- Saturday Evening, 7 to 9 p.m. “Deep Singing” with Helen Bee
Throughout the world singing and chanting play a significant role in group ritual and personal spiritual practice. “Deep Singing” is composed of chants, rounds, and simple harmonies that engender an experience of joyfulness and wholeness. Through the years, Helen has led numerous deep singing workshops at Indralaya. All voices welcome!
- Sunday Morning, September 11, 8:30-10:30 am Pancake Breakfast to Benefit the Orcas Island Food Bank
A traditional Indralaya vegetarian pancake breakfast, featuring fruit compote, applesauce, fresh fruit, hot cereal, and, of course, all the pancakes you can eat! All proceeds from the breakfast ($7 per person suggested) will be donated to the Orcas Island Food Bank.
