Auditions for Great Expectations — Orcas Center will hold auditions for an original adaptation of the Dickens’ classic from 2 to 4 p.m. and again on Monday, August 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. See www.orcascenter.org .

Sundays in the Park – Orcas Idol Showcase and Open Mic 5 to 7 p.m.  at Eastsound Village Green. All are welcome, Free. Note early start time and bring warm clothing and seating.

Monday, August 31

Interisland Ferry Meeting to discuss tariffs and discounts — the Sealth departs Friday Harbor at 11:35 a.m., Orcas at 12:30 p.m., Shaw at 12:45 p.m., Lopez at 1:05 p.m., and returns to Friday Harbor at 1:55 p.m.

OASIS/ALE Site Council Meeting 11 a.m. at the Orcas School Library. 376-2284.
