The monthly Writer’s Roundtable will discuss “The Pleasure of Memoir Writing” on  Saturday, September 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Public Library in Esatsound. JoEllen Moldoff will facilitate

“A memoir is a piece of writing that blends a story with the author’s process of making sense of that story.” (Judith Barrington, author of the bestselling book Writing the Memoir: From Truth to Art)

Writing a memoir involves reaching for the story under the story in order to explore the truth of our experiences. In this month’s Roundtable, we will do some writing exercises and read excerpts from other memoir writers that can serve as examples and triggers for our own writing.

All are welcome to share in the conversation and writing.
