This year, as in the past, the Orcas Island Public Library will be receiving hard copy tax forms from the IRS. However, we have been informed that many of these forms will be late in arriving.
We do have some forms, while others can be printed from the IRS website. We will continue to make the forms available as they arrive.
Please be aware that the library staff and volunteers are not tax experts, and cannot advise patrons on which forms to use and how to file taxes. If you need help, please contact a certified accountant,

Another posting in today’s Orcas Issues notes that “Jim Biddick is available to help low-income islanders with simple tax returns. To make an appointment, please phone Jim at 376-2488. Most appointments are held at the Orcas Senior Center, Tuesdays, from 9-4. Suggested donation is $5.00, with larger donations going to the Senior Center.
