Saturday, Oct. 3rd, 10 am – 5 pm
— from Rosie Miller for the Orcas Animal Protection Society —
The Orcas Animal Protection Society is participating in a statewide shelter open house event. To celebrate, the shelter will be having extended hours and a garage sale on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its location on Hope Lane.
Staff and volunteers invite the community to peruse the new and lightly used pet items for sale by donation, visit with the animals available for adoption and enjoy a cup of apple cider and a cookie – or two.
The Shelter Open House event is hosted by Pawsitive Alliance to promote and highlight the work that Washington animal shelters are doing on behalf of animals in need. Their goal is to help shelters grow their adopter, donor, and volunteer bases and to raise awareness of the amazing animals that are in need of forever homes.
