— from Washington State Ferries —

Please be advised that due to the service disruptions on the route, the M/V Yakima will sail at half capacity for the remainder of the day, and the galley is now also closed. This affects the following sailings:

  • 3:55 p.m. from Lopez to Shaw and Orcas
  • 4:50 p.m. from Orcas to Anacortes
  • 6:00 p.m. from Anacortes to Friday Harbor
  • 7:30 p.m. from Friday Harbor to Lopez and Anacortes
  • 9:05 p.m. all stops to Friday Harbor
  • 11:15 p.m. from Friday Harbor to Anacortes

This reduction in capacity is in conjunction with the Kitsap’s remaining sailings being cancelled for the rest of the day due to a shortage of Coast Guard certified crew members.

The cancellations and capacity reductions will affect all travelers on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route and cause significant travel delays for the remainder of the day. Regardless of whether your specific sailing has been affected, all reservation holders still needing to travel will be loaded on a first come, first served basis on the remaining sailings. There is no room for standby passengers. Customers should check the schedule and plan on arriving early to the terminal due to all the #3 sailings being cancelled.

We apologize for the service disruption and thank you for your patience.
