What time is it?  It’s Prime Time Family Reading at the Library!

Orcas Island Public Library is excited to partner with Humanities Washington for the 2023 Prime Time Family Reading Program – a virtual, humanities-based storytelling program for families of children ages 6-10 years old and their siblings.

Join Educator David Turnoy and Children’s Librarian Jenny De Groot on Thursdays at 6-7 pm from January 12th to February 16th for six weeks of storytelling and discussions based on universal humanities themes such as friendship, fairness, courage, and justice. This year’s program will explore animal stories and the readings of Aesop’s Fables together.

This event is free and open to the public. Families will receive award-winning books to build their home library and gift certificates for groceries at Island Market for participating.

Registration is limited to 15 families so please sign up if interested and able to commit to this special, six-week program. If so, register HERE.

Visit Orcas Island Public Library here for more information. Questions?  Contact Jenny or call 360-376-4985.  Or, learn more about Humanities Washington’s Prime Time Family Reading here.
