20-008990 Burglary – Residential 11:39:51 10/21/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a residential burglary near Eastsound. A report was filed and the investigation for a known suspect is ongoing.

20-009004 Area Check 21:52:30 10/21/20
An Orcas Island Deputy conducted an area check at the West Sound County Dock. At about 2200 hours there was a vessel located at the dock which had been issued numerous infractions for unlawful overnight moorage before. The Deputy issued the vessel an infraction.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22
20-009008 Mental Health 05:19:07 10/22/20
A Lopez Deputy was called out to contact a male suffering from a mental health crisis. Family members will be notified to provided additional care.

20-009012 Vehicle Prowl 07:58:36 10/22/20
A Deputy responded to a report of a vandalism of a car window in Friday Harbor. There is no suspect information, witnesses, or workable leads. A report was completed for insurance.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23
20-009044 Mental Health 06:00:07 10/23/20
Lopez Deputies took a male into custody under the involuntary treatment act. His family was strongly encouraged to take an active role in the supervision of his treatment, to include moving him to a location with more readily available resources.

20-009048 Domestic Dispute or Assault 09:16:26 10/23/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to report of domestic violence in Eastsound. A report was filed and the case was referred to the court.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
20-009081 Boating Acc NI 08:24:13 10/24/20
An unoccupied sailboat broke free of its mooring buoy in the gale force winds and ran aground. A Lopez Island Deputy along with EMS and rescue personnel responded to a report of a person in the water when the boat owner reportedly tried to save the boat before the storm subsided.

20-009090 Fraud 11:48:02 10/24/20
A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding an attempted fraud scam call from a subject representing himself as being from Social Security. No money or financial information was lost.

20-009097 Theft 15:54:55 10/24/20
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of stolen political signs. There are not suspects at this time and the incident was documented.

20-009100 Sick or Injured Animal 17:17:49 10/24/20
A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to a report of a deceased dog washed up on the beach. Upon examination the animal was determined to be a raccoon.

20-009101 Assault – Body Force 17:37:11 10/24/20
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a reported assault. The investigation is ongoing.

20-009103 Court Order Violation 18:31:01 10/24/20
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a protection order violation. The involved parties were contacted and an investigation commenced.

20-009104 Animal at Large 20:07:37 10/24/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island witnessed two dogs running at large in the 2400 block of Orcas Road. Neither dog had a dog license. They were taken to the Orcas Animal Shelter.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26
20-009157 Parking Problem 15:44:55 10/26/20
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a parking complaint at the ferry terminal. A vehicle was illegal parked in a handicap parking stall. An infraction was subsequently issued.

20-009161 Citizen Assist 18:22:48 10/26/20
A Deputy on Lopez was contacted regarding two young children lost in an impenetrable wild rose thicket. Power tools were used to cut through and reunite the kids with their parents.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 27
20-009171 Citizen Assist 10:36:00 10/27/20
A Deputy responded to a phone report of a citizen assist in Friday Harbor. A 72 hr warning sticker was placed on a vehicle that was parked in front of the callers house for a month and a trespass letter completed on the vehicle owner. The letter will be served when the person is located.

20-009178 Communications Problem 15:46:25 10/27/20
An Orcas Island resident reported receiving a fraudulent telephone call asking for her social security number. A report was taken.

20-009181 Alcohol Offense 16:47:15 10/27/20
A local resident suspected a juvenile male was under influence of drugs or alcohol. An investigation was completed and forwarded to prosecutors office.
