I was on duty, in full uniform, and operating a marked patrol car, when I responded to a call from dispatch in regards to a suspicious event involving a white male driving a white vehicle
and appeared to be impaired.

A Deputy performed a welfare check at an Eastsound residence. Concerned citizens had called regarding an elderly woman and as to whether she was safe at home with her adult child who had substance abuse issues. An investigation was done and a report is being forwarded to Adult Protective Services.
18-008052 Malicious Mischief 14:15:48 10/18/18
A Deputy responded to a report of vandalism. Two tires on a vehicle were punctured. A report was taken.
18-008058 Welfare Check 20:12:35 10/18/18
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to the Lopez Village for a possible suicidal juvenile. The juvenile was transported to Friday Harbor for a mental health evaluation.

An Orcas deputy investigated a burglary at a residence near the ferry terminal. The investigation is still ongoing.
18-008075 Accident-HitRun 15:26:46 10/19/18
An Orcas deputy responded to a report of a hit and run involving a vehicle and bicycle. The suspect vehicle information was vague. A thorough search of the area did not reveal any leads. No injuries. A report was written.
18-008078 Welfare Check 17:52:20 10/19/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a citizen dispute in Friday Harbor, an informational report was taken.
18-008083 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:58:26 10/19/18
Deputies responded to a Lopez Island residence for a domestic violence assault 4th degree complaint. A subject was arrested and transported to the jail in Friday Harbor to await a hearing. A report was completed.
18-008085 Overdose 22:33:49 10/19/18
Lopez deputies assisted EMS personnel with a possible overdose. The subject was transported to a hospital.

An Orcas Island Deputy stopped a vehicle on Olga Road. The driver, a local woman, was subsequently issued an infraction for 74 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone.
18-008095 Domestic Dispute or Assault 13:04:08 10/20/18
A Deputy responded to a domestic incident. Both parties were interviewed and the case will be forwarded to the PA.

A Lopez Island resident reported a neighbor’s dogs were out running at large, and had followed the caller home onto their property. The dogs were home when the deputy contacted the owner. A warning letter was issued.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed no crime occurred and a report was generated.

A Deputy took a report of fraudulent charges. The crime occurred outside of San Juan County. A report was taken.
18-008153 Weapons Noise 18:25:27 10/22/18
A Deputy responded to a residence in Eastsound in regards to a weapon noise. Upon arrival, a male who was known to have a warrant for his arrest was on the property. The suspect was arrested and booked into San Juan County Jail.

A deputy was contacted by a person with a warrant. The person was taken into custody and booked on the warrant.

A Deputy responded to a report of noise ordinance violation in Friday Harbor. Investigation Continues.

Deputies were dispatched to a wanted subject in Friday Harbor. Subject was taken in custody and transported to holding cell at the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office to await arraignment.
