22-008411 Citizen Dispute 11:19:47 11/23/22
An Orcas Deputy took a report of fraud which ended up being a civil matter. A report was taken.

22-008413 Theft 12:31:03 11/23/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft at Peace Island Medical Center. A person attempted to steal a bike from the area but was stopped by hospital personnel. The person was located and trespassed from the hospital and charges were forwarded to the Prosecutor.

22-008415 Domestic Dispute or Assault 13:39:53 11/23/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance on the 100 block of Exton Rd. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined no crime was committed. An incident report was authored.

22-008416 Found Property 13:48:35 11/23/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of found jewelry in Friday Harbor. The owner is unknown and the item was entered into evidence.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25
22-008442 Attempted Suicide 00:17:14 11/25/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a suicide attempt. The individual was located and was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

22-008454 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 17:09:18 11/25/22
An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

22-008458 Welfare Check 18:37:57 11/25/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a welfare check. Upon arrival, it was apparent that the incident was domestic in nature. No crime occurred and the two individuals separated for the night.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26
22-008469 Malicious Mischief 12:48:56 11/26/22
A Lopez resident reported property damage consisting of two mailboxes that were run over by a hit and run vehicle. Attempts will be made to identify the suspect driver.

22-008471 Citizen Dispute 14:36:39 11/26/22
Lopez Deputies responded to a citizen dispute. A Lopez neighbor had begun to deconstruct a fence of a neighboring property. The matter was investigated and determined to be civil in nature. Both parties agreed to collaborate on replacing the fence.

22-008475 Domestic Dispute or Assault 19:13:11 11/26/22
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a domestic incident. After talking with the involved parties, it was learned that the situation remained verbal only. The parties separated and were provided with Safe San Juans information. A report was completed.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27
22-008494 Vehicle Prowl 19:46:04 11/27/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a possible vehicle prowl at the Fire Station in Friday Harbor. An unknown vehicle was at the fire station for a short time, then a department vehicle door was found to be open. No items were reported missing. A report was completed.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28
22-008506 Fraud 13:18:27 11/28/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of fraud. The reporting party was defrauded several thousand dollars through FaceBook. The incident was documented and the reporting party was referred to the FBI internet crimes division.

22-008507 Assault – Body Force 13:40:32 11/28/22
A Deputy was dispatched to an Assault. The Deputy contacted the person reporting the incident. The incident was a verbal domestic and no crime had been committed. The person was put in contact with other agencies for assistance. Report taken.

22-008509 Domestic Dispute or Assault 14:21:54 11/28/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a verbal domestic. The investigation revealed there was no crime committed. The incident was documented.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29
22-008522 Threats 13:38:42 11/29/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of threats. The incident was investigated and found to be a civil issue. Both parties were given information on how to deal with their neighbor dispute.

22-008524 Threats 14:26:01 11/29/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of threats. Statements were obtained and resource information was provided. The incident did not meet the requirements of RCW for a crime.

22-008525 Welfare Check 14:35:38 11/29/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a call for a welfare check on children that had missed school for some time. Personal contact was made with one of the children and the other was found to be ill.

22-008534 Fraud 18:15:11 11/29/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a call about a fraudulent phone call. The caller had identified themselves as being from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and had at one point called them back from the Sheriff’s Office phone number. No money or information was lost.
