WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20
24-007425 Trespassing 10:26:57 11/20/24
It was reported an unknown person had slept in one of the employee rooms at the Orca Inn. After an investigation, the subject was identified and arrested, then transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was booked into jail.

24-007431 Vehicle Theft 12:28:50 11/20/24
A San Juan Deputy took a report of a vehicle theft. The vehicle was located abandoned a short time later.

24-007439 Agency Assistance 15:32:40 11/20/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a call for an agency assist. Adult Protective Services (APS) requested a welfare check be conducted on a vulnerable adult. The allegations were previously investigated and determined unfounded.

24-007440 Accident-Injury, Traffic 16:12:31 11/20/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a motor vehicle collision. The driver suffered from a medical condition which prompted the collision. Life saving measures were conducted at the scene and the driver was transported to an off-island hospital.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a collision. The driver was adjusting an item and left the roadway before striking a tree. No injury was reported and an infraction was issued.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21
24-007455 Fraud 10:23:23 11/21/24
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a report of fraudulent charges on a victim’s credit card. The investigation found a family member of the victim used the victim’s credit card in Bellingham without authorization from the victim. Investigation referred to Bellingham Police.

24-007463 Animal at Large 15:51:27 11/21/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island received information regarding an on-going dog-at-large issue. The dog owner was issued infractions for violation of San Juan County Codes 6.08-085.3 – Dog at Large 3rd Offense, and 6.08.030.3 – Fail to License Dog 3rd Offense.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22
24-007475 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 08:08:57 11/22/24
A Deputy was dispatched to a malicious Mischief in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived at the location. Evidence showed that a vehicle had left the roadway, damaging several utility boxes. Report taken.

24-007476 Weapons Offense 08:50:50 11/22/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to the Orcas Island middle school for a weapon offense. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined there was no threat to the school or students and no crime had been committed.

24-007481 Domestic Dispute or Assault 10:23:46 11/22/24
Deputies were dispatched to a possible Domestic in the San Juan Island area. Deputies arrived and were advised by a neighbor that two people had left the area in separate vehicles prior to their arrival. Report taken.

24-007485 Accident-NonInj 12:17:55 11/22/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a 2-vehicle, non-injury, reportable collision. Information was exchanged between drivers and a collision report was generated.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The complaint was determined to be a civil issue between two tenants.

24-007498 DUI 19:45:41 11/22/24
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a DUI on an ferry. The driver was contacted and arrested for DUI.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23
24-007502 Citizen Assist 08:45:54 11/23/24
A Deputy responded to a Citizen Assist. The Deputy spoke with the person who had concerns about a Protection Order. Report taken.

24-007506 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 17:18:11 11/23/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a suspicious circumstance call.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24
24-007510 CPR ALS 12:44:31 11/24/24
Emergency Services were dispatched to a CPR in progress in the Friday Harbor area. The victim was pronounced deceased and a Death Investigation was started. Report taken.

24-007523 Domestic Dispute or Assault 21:54:38 11/24/24
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a domestic call in the Olga area. The reporting party called 911 because their estranged spouse entered the residence without permission. The responding Deputies arrested the suspect without incident.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25
24-007530 Citizen Dispute 12:51:43 11/25/24
Lopez Deputies responded to a non-criminal dispute among residents at a home. A report was completed.

24-007535 Trespassing 15:09:05 11/25/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a location where the controlling authority wished to trespass four people. Each person was located and was served with a trespass warning letter. A report was completed.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26
24-007550 Trespassing 13:27:40 11/26/24
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person near a local Mt. Woolard residence. A good description of the vehicle and individual were provided by the caller. Deputies located the suspect and discovered he was a delivery driver, who was delivering parcels.

24-007553 Animal at Large 17:04:27 11/26/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke with homeowner who reported that their neighbors dog continually wanders on to their property, and recently urinated on a package that was delivered to their front porch. Video footage was provided and a dog at large warning letter was issued. Report completed.
