WEDNESDAY, MAY 29
24-003096 DUI 13:25:32 05/29/24
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle collision. The driver was possibly having a medical issue and was released to go to the hospital. No injuries and only minor damage to the vehicle occurred.

24-003098 Citizen Assist 14:47:12 05/29/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a request to rescind a trespass warning letter.

24-003100 Trespassing 15:22:21 05/29/24
The owner of a daycare requested to have a person trespassed. A trespass warning letter was drafted and served.

24-003109 Animal Bite 23:01:09 05/29/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to the Emergency Room at PIMC for a report of an animal bite. The owner was bit by their own dogs, the owner was then discovered to have an out of state warrant. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the jail due to his warrant. Report completed.

24-003110 Wanted Person 23:59:22 05/29/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island contacted an individual who had been bitten by a dog. It was discovered that the individual had an active out of state warrant. The different state confirmed on the warrant. The male was taken into custody due to his warrant. A report was completed.

THURSDAY, MAY 30
24-003117 Area Check 15:55:19 05/30/24
An Orcas man was trespassed from the Orcas Village Store.

24-003122 Domestic Dispute or Assault 17:57:02 05/30/24
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic. An individual was found to have a $50,000 out of county warrant and locked themselves in a bedroom. Deputies entered the bedroom and arrested the individual for the warrant as well as assault 4-DV, obstructing and resisting.

24-003126 Vehicle Theft 20:27:59 05/30/24
Orcas Island Rental Car reported one of their vehicles attempting to get onto the ferry. The car was not rented and was being reported as stolen. Anacortes PD was notified and was able to intercept the vehicle as it got off the ferry. The suspect was taken into custody.

24-003129 Citizen Dispute 23:49:39 05/30/24
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a citizen dispute. An individual was arrested for harassment – DV and was booked into jail. During a search incident to arrest, cocaine was found in the individual’s pocket.

FRIDAY, MAY 31
24-003135 Trespassing 11:21:21 05/31/24
A Deputy was dispatched to a local business in Friday Harbor about a Trespassing. A person was harassing customers and employees. The person was gone upon the Deputy’s arrival. A trespass warning letter was prepared and will be served on the person when located. Report taken.

24-003137 Accident-NonInj 13:12:55 05/31/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to the upper lot of Orcas Island High School for an unknown injury traffic collision. A citizen pulling into the parking lot accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake and collided with a fence on the high school track/soccer field causing a significant amount of damage.

24-003144 Found Property 18:56:20 05/31/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of found property. The owner was not located and the items were entered into evidence.

24-003146 Harassment 19:24:11 05/31/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of harassment. Resources were provided to the reporting party and the incident was documented.

24-003150 Assault – Aggravated 23:51:49 05/31/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an assault. The victim did not wish to pursue charges and the suspect was issued a trespass notice for the business.

SATURDAY, JUNE 1
24-003157 Citizen Assist 13:03:55 06/01/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island took custody of a canister of gunpowder that a citizen wished to turn in for destruction. The item was collected and submitted into evidence for destruction. A report was completed.

24-003168 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 21:52:08 06/01/24
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a possible prowler at a business. The business was secure and no one was found on the premises.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2
24-003171 Found Property 00:42:49 06/02/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of found property for items found at the Farmer’s Market. The items were entered into evidence.

24-003175 CPR ALS 01:47:08 06/02/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a death investigation.

24-003183 Found Property 21:55:58 06/02/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property. An individual found a wheelchair in Friday Harbor and brought it to Sheriff’s Office. The Deputy took possession of the wheelchair and booked it into evidence as found property. A report was completed.

MONDAY, JUNE 3
24-003185 Traffic Violation 08:19:18 06/03/24
The Sheriff’s Office received a report that the public works mower was obstructing traffic but had pulled over to let vehicles pass. The incident was closed as not a law violation, public works was operating the mower in the course of their duties.

24-003186 Malicious Mischief 08:37:29 06/03/24
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of damaged property. There were no investigative leads to work with. The incident was documented.

TUESDAY, JUNE 4
24-003199 Theft 09:27:18 06/04/24
A Deputy investigated the theft and vandalism of a bicycle from the Orcas School. Followup will be required to identify the suspect.

24-003210 Wanted Person 16:29:56 06/04/24
Lopez Island Deputies arrested a local man who had an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the San Juan County Jail. A report was taken.

24-003217 Found Property 22:22:44 06/04/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of found property; a debit card was tuned into the Sheriff’s Office. Attempts to identify and contact the owner were made. The debit card was packaged and submitted into evidence as found property. A report was completed.
