A Shaw Island reported being a victim of identity theft and fraud. An investigation is ongoing. A report was taken.
17-001371 Animal at Large 15:01:09 03/15/17
An Orcas Island resident reported two German Shepherd dogs came onto her property while chasing a deer. Moments later she discovered 15 of her chickens were now missing. The dogs left the area prior to arrival. The dogs’ owner is unknown at this time.

An Orcas Island resident reported harassment by neighbors. A report was taken.

Reporting party brought to the SO a firearm she found when going through boxes after a move. The firearm does not belong to her.
17-001393 Mental Health 17:46:37 03/16/17
Deputies responded to a residence in Friday Harbor for a possible suicide in progress. The subject was taken to Peace Health Hospital.
17-001399 Harassment 23:44:46 03/16/17
A Deputy was dispatched to a Harassment complaint in Eastsound. A report was taken and the reporting party was given information on what actions can be taken.

Deputies responded to a Domestic on Orcas. After all parties were interviewed it was confirmed that it was only verbal. The involved were separated for the night and a report was taken.

A deputy was dispatched to a Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs in the San Juan Island area. The reporting deputy arrived and made contact with the driver. The driver was arrested and processed for DUI. Driver was released on a citation.
17-001420 Death Investigation 10:55:45 03/18/17
A deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a Death Investigation. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved parties. Investigation continues.
17-001428 Vehicle Theft 18:01:36 03/18/17
Lopez Deputies received a call of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was unable to be found the investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to Front Street in Friday Harbor for a verbal domestic. Deputies found this to be verbal only and the male decided he would leave the area to avoid conflict.
17-001453 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:03:53 03/19/17
Lopez deputies were dispatched for a welfare check on a subject believed to be suicidal. The subject was located and found not to be an imminent threat to self or others.

A deputy was dispatched to a hit and run that occurred in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy contacted the caller and took evidence from his vehicle. Investigation continues…

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a juvenile runaway. The guardian of the juvenile filled out a runaway report and the juvenile was entered into the system as a runaway.
