A Lopez Island man reported a suspicious telephone call, suspecting potential misrepresentation and fraud. Upon examination, the telephone call in question was completely legitimate. No further action is necessary.

An Orcas deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

A Seattle man contacted Lopez deputies to claim his wallet that had been found at a Lopez Island business yesterday. The owner indicated the wallet was returned intact, containing his identification, cash and credit cards.

A Lopez Island deputy was summoned to remove an unwelcome guest after the guest refused to leave. The subject packed his things and left once contacted by deputies.

A Lopez Island Deputy spoke with a Lopez Island resident regarding a non-injury vehicle accident. The reporting person stated she was feeling ill and drove off the road while driving home from the ferry. There was no evidence of impairment. An investigation is being conducted.

Deputies responded to a Residence on San Juan Island to investigated an unwanted person. Deputies made an arrest for DUI.

A Friday Harbor parent called to report a runaway teen. Information and a clothing description were obtained and a Juvenile Runaway report filed. Deputies checked various possible locations without success. Deputies will continue to watch for the teen.

A Friday Harbor girl was reported as a runaway. A runaway form was signed and deputies started contacting friends. The girl was not located, but heard about the runaway form and search for her and returned home.
17-003869 Unwanted Person 19:54:34 06/29/17
A Deputy criminal trespassed a Lopez Island resident after he went to another person’s home without permission to request medication. The Deputy explained to the trespasser that he was not allowed to go on to the reporting person’s address in the future. A report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to a juvenile missing curfew. A report was taken.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a traffic collision. A vehicle trying to get out of traffic hit another vehicle on its side as it moved off.

Orcas Island deputies were dispatched to a reported single vehicle accident in the Eastsound area. The driver, a local man, was arrested for driving under the influence.

A Deputy spoke with Lopez Island residents regarding a possible juvenile runaway. The worried parents reported their son had failed to come home by his assigned curfew. He was subsequently located. A report was completed.

A Deputy spoke with Lopez Island parents about a juvenile problem. It was determined no crime had occurred and a report was completed.
17-003908 Citizen Dispute 01:21:13 07/01/17
Orcas Island deputies were dispatched to a physical altercation involving 10 or more subjects at a local business. The crowd had dispersed by the time deputies arrived on scene. Witnesses of the altercation were interviewed and a report taken. The investigation is ongoing.

A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a dog at large. Attempts to locate the dog and its owner are ongoing.

A Deputy took a report of a burglary at an Airport Hanger in Eastsound. The reporting party is reportedly missing a flight case from the hanger. There are no known suspects or leads at this time. A report was taken.

A deputy was contacted in reference to an Order Violation that occurred in the San Juan Island area. The caller claimed to received phone calls and texts from a friend of an ex boyfriend. Investigation discovered no crime committed.

A Lopez deputy was contacted in regards to a disagreement which took place between restaurant staff and a patron. An informational report was taken.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a dog at large. The dog was returned to the owner and the Deputy issued the owner a warning letter.

A new Lopez resident came to the office to report Fraud. A Lopez landlord had misrepresented a rental and based on this the victim and his family had moved from Montana to find an uninhabitable shell. The victim is attempting to find other housing, while dealing with the landlord. Investigation continues.

A Lopez deputy took a report of a suspicious subject showing up uninvited at a residence. A report was taken.

A Lopez deputy took a request for welfare check from an out of state relative on a Lopez resident. The resident was found in good health.

A Lopez deputy was called to assist a motorist who locked their keys in the car. The vehicle was gone when the deputy arrived.

A Lopez Island deputy was sent to investigate a disturbance near Hummel Lake. Two adult males were located in the area. They apologized for being noisy and were sent on their way. No further action necessary.

Lopez Island deputies were called to assist a subject who had locked himself in a public restroom and was threatening to harm himself. The subject came out voluntarily and was airlifted to a hospital.
17-004057 Traffic Hazard 18:08:43 07/04/17
A Lopez Island deputy came upon a traffic hazard- a broken down vehicle on a busy road, and stood by until assistance arrived to remove the vehicle from the roadway. No further action was necessary.
17-004060 Traffic Hazard 18:59:14 07/04/17
A vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Main Street Eastsound blocking a lane of traffic. Owners arrived nearly an hour later and issued parking ticket.

Deputies in Friday Harbor received a report of people screaming and yelling. The Deputies discovered that several juveniles in the area were drinking. 10 juveniles were arrested for consuming / possessing alcohol.
