A Lopez Island Deputy assisted a motorist who misjudged where the edge of the road was when parking, and got stuck. The vehicle was undamaged, and was easily pulled out.

A Deputy responded to the station for a problem with an inmate in custody. The inmate was placed in the safety cell, a mental health professional was contacted, and a report made.

A Lopez Island Deputy took a report of allegations of Violations of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order. The matter is under investigation.

A Lopez Island Deputy took a report of a minor injury collision that occurred in Lopez Village. No enforcement action was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy spoke with a Lopez resident regarding a theft complaint. The resident stated an unidentified person stole her bike from a Lopez Village business while she was working. Efforts to locate the bike were initiated and a report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy contacted a subject regarding fireworks after a neighbor’s complaint. No fireworks were observed or confiscated, but the fireworks ban and consequences were discussed. The subject said he had a very clear understanding of the rules moving forward.

San Juan Deputies responded to a 2-car rollover collision with possible injuries. A driver appeared to have veered into the oncoming lane and struck another vehicle. One driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI; the investigation is ongoing.

An Orcas Deputy issued an infraction for Unlawful Discharge of Fireworks near Eastsound.

Deputies on Orcas impounded a vehicle parked in the roadway on Lovers Ln an hour and a half after the firework show ended. The driver showed up as the vehicle was being towed.

A male suspect was causing an issue inside an Eastsound Business. The suspect eventually left. A Deputy contacted the business in which they wished to trespass the suspect. The suspect was later identified and issued a no trespass letter.

An Orcas Deputy arrested a male subject who caused alarm in Eastsound area due to his extreme outbursts and aggressive behavior.

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a hit and run complaint. The reporting person stated an unidentified person drove on to his property and damaged his vehicle. The damage appeared to be done by another vehicle. A report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area on a Wanted Person. The person was contacted and taken into custody. The person was processed at the Sheriff’s Office.

A Lopez Island Deputy spoke with a Lopez Island resident regarding a harassment complaint. The reporting person stated a highly intoxicated male harassed her while she was at a local business. The perpetrator was located and he apologized. The reporting person subsequently declined pressing charges.

San Juan Deputies responded to a 2-car non-reportable collision on private property. An information exchange was facilitated and the vehicles were photographed.

San Juan Deputies were dispatched to a found bicycle near Roche Harbor. No owner was able to be located; the bike was placed in evidence as found property.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to the ferry terminal for an unattended the vehicle in the ferry line that was causing a safety hazard. The vehicle owner was located and the vehicle was moved. A report was completed.

A Deputy took a report of an apparent break in at an Eastsound residence. Persons unknown had broken into a cabin by kicking in a door. The case is currently under further investigation.

A Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run attended collision in Eastsound. The reporting party stated she was attempting to pass another vehicle when the other vehicle struck her with their left front side of their car. She parked to make contact but the other vehicle had left.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a sick/injured deer. The deer was up and grazing when the Deputy arrived and wandered off into the Woods.

An Orcas Deputy found a wallet in the roadway while on patrol. The owner was located and the wallet was returned.

A Deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area on an Unwanted Person. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the involved persons. One person was trespassed from the business.
