A Lopez resident reported trespassing and property damage by a former acquaintance. A report was completed, trespass warning letter issued, and a no contact order applied for.
20-006230 Communications Problem 10:50:38 07/31/20
A Lopez resident reported an obvious attempt to defraud her via a telephone call. The person did not sustain any financial loss.
20-006233 Theft 11:28:48 07/31/20
A Lopez resident reported the theft of a kitten. The suspect quickly returned the kitten in good condition after being contacted by a Deputy.
20-006237 Boating Problem 12:06:43 07/31/20
A minor boating incident was reported to a Lopez Deputy. The parties were encouraged to find a civil solution.
20-006240 Boating Problem 12:40:51 07/31/20
A float plane had contact with a moored boat while docking on Lopez Island. The airplane charter company reported the incident to the proper aviation authorities and were working to compensate the boat owner.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a citizen dispute. The involved parties were contacted. None of the involved parties wished to pursue charges.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a citizen dispute. One person was arrested for disorderly conduct and was released with a citation.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Order Violation in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy contacted the victim. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy received a report that someone saw what they suspected was a cougar on the southend of Lopez Island along the beach on McArdle Bay on 07/27/20. Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife was notified to conduct further investigation.
20-006275 Malicious Mischief 15:06:22 08/01/20
Graffiti was reported at the Skate Park in Lopez Village, with spray paint applied to utility boxes, trash cans and the skate structure itself. There is no suspect information or workable leads at this time. A report was taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a collision between two vehicles. The driver of one of the vehicles was issued a notice of infraction for Improper Backing and Instruction Permit Violation.
20-006286 Controlled Substance Problem 21:07:34 08/01/20
A vehicle was stopped and drug detection K9 Sucia alerted to the odor of narcotics. The vehicle was impounded, a search warrant was granted and controlled substances were located within.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a citizen dispute in Eastsound. The parties were separated and a report was taken.
20-006299 Accident-Injury, Traffic 10:44:12 08/02/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a rollover collision with injuries. The driver was transported to PIMC and the roadway was cleared. A collision report was generated.
20-006303 Aircraft Problem 11:21:34 08/02/20
Deputies on Orcas Island were dispatched to an aircraft that crash landed at the Orcas Island Airport. There were no injuries. A report was filed.
20-006313 Accident-HitRun 16:21:06 08/02/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a call of a hit and run accident in Eastsound. The license plate of the suspect vehicle was obtained by a witness. The accident is under investigation.
20-006317 Domestic Dispute or Assault 19:53:00 08/02/20
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. The matter was found to be civil in nature. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island man shot and killed two dogs on his property that had just destroyed a flock of chickens in their henhouse. The dogs’ owner was cited by a Deputy for the dogs killing livestock.

A Deputy took a report of a Stolen inflatable dingy from a vessel moored in a private Mooring Facility on Orcas Island. The case is under further investigation.
20-006344 Domestic Dispute or Assault 16:28:52 08/03/20
A Deputy was dispatched to a report of a possible Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy arrived but did not locate any problems. Report taken.
20-006346 Attempted Suicide 17:20:59 08/03/20
Deputies responded to a mental health crisis at an Eastsound Residence. The subject in crisis was transported to Peace Health Hospital for further evaluation.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic at the PIMC emergency room involving a male with a knife. The male subject was arrested for Assault 4th Degree DV, Resisting Arrest, & Obstructing a Law Enforcement officer. The male was booked into jail and a report was completed.
