A Deputy responded to a walk in citizen assist call. An informational report was completed and forwarded to Adult probation.

A Supervisor responded to a phone call from a citizen requesting to speak to him in regarding to some safety concerns from a previous incident. After speaking with the caller an informational report was made. No further investigation at this time.

A Deputy responded to a call back report of a possible order violation. After talking with the caller it was determined that no violation occurred and an information report was completed.
20-000694 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 09:42:10 01/30/20
A Lopez resident called about an unknown person on a neighbor’s property. The Deputy contacted the neighbor and learned the person was allowed to be on the property.

A property owner based out of state expressed concern over a house in the process of being moved ending up on their property. The owner was advised of unforeseen circumstances and the contractors efforts to remove the home that evening.

A Deputy responded to the Deer Harbor area on a welfare check after a person had not been able to be contacted. While performing the welfare check, the Deputy discovered the person had fallen and was not able to get up. Orcas EMS crews were called and provided medical care.

Deputies assisted another law enforcement agency in serving a search warrant on Orcas Island.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a single vehicle accident in Eastsound. The driver was arrested for DUI.

A Deputy took a report of Malicious Mischief in the San Juan Island area. A piece of County equipment had been damaged. Report taken.
20-000732 Accident-Injury, Traffic 14:31:37 01/31/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision on Egg Lake Rd. The driver was arrested for negligent driving in the first degree.
20-000734 Accident-Injury, Traffic 15:14:49 01/31/20
An Orcas Deputy responded to a single vehicle accident with possibly injury near Deer Harbor. The driver was unharmed, cleared medically and given an infraction for driving without a license.
20-000735 Fish & Game Violation 15:17:32 01/31/20
A Lopez Deputy assisted the Dept of Fish and Wildlife with an out of season fishing complaint.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a single vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for negligent driving and the vehicle was impounded for a drug investigation.
20-000741 Welfare Check 19:14:53 01/31/20
A Lopez Island Deputy responded for a report of a man in the ditch on Fisherman Bay Rd. It was determined that the man had fallen while walking. Emergency Medical Services responded to evaluate the person for injuries. There was no evidence of a crime and a report was completed.

A San Juan Deputy was conducting bar checks and found someone inside one of the bars who has conditions which restricted them from being there. A report was completed and forwarded to the Probation officer.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a vehicle stuck in a ditch. Orcas Towing got the vehicle out. The vehicle suffered minor damage and was in drivable condition.
20-000793 Recovered Stolen Vehicle 20:12:15 02/01/20
A stolen vehicle was recovered on San Juan Island. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy on Orcas Island investigated a Custodial Interference complaint. An investigation commenced and the complaint was determined to be unfounded.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Abandoned Vehicle in the San Juan Island area. Vehicle impounded.

A Deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a Vehicle Theft. The involved people were contacted and the incident was found to be civil in nature. Report taken.
20-000825 Accident-HitRun 09:04:24 02/03/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island investigated a Hit and Run complaint. The reporting party was contacted and an investigation commenced.
20-000827 Threats 11:30:49 02/03/20
A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to Threats. The person received a perceived threat on Facebook. No crime was committed at this time but the caller will be pursuing a civil order.

The Lopez school reported inappropriate comments made by a student. No crime occurred. The Deputy documented the incident in a report, along with meeting with the student and father.
20-000831 Assault – Body Force 13:09:27 02/03/20
Deputies were dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputies arrived and contacted the people involved. One person was arrested for Assault 4th DV and booked into custody.
20-000849 Attempted Suicide 20:08:35 02/03/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a suicide attempt in Friday Harbor. The Deputies transported the subject to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
20-000850 Sick or Injured Animal 21:14:50 02/03/2
A Deputy was dispatched to a report of an animal sick. Deputies discovered one of the involved parties had an active warrant and was arrested.

San Juan Deputies were dispatched to a report of an unwanted person. It was later found out the involved party had a Warrant out of San Juan County and was taken in custody for it.
