WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15
25-000246 Prowler 06:56:34 01/15/25
A Lopez Deputy responded to an unfounded complaint of a prowler on a person’s property. The caller is nearing 50 unfounded and false complaints to the Sheriff’s Office. A report was forwarded to mental health care providers.

25-000262 Welfare Check 23:23:25 01/15/25
A Lopez Deputy responded to a welfare check. An individual was discovered to be self-harming. No medical care was needed, family was informed, and resources were provided.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 16
25-000264 Agency Assistance 06:08:57 01/16/25
I received an APS referral for a subject. The referral alleged possible financial abuse to a vulnerable adult. I checked Rio’s in our system and found that this allegation has already been investigated by the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office multiple times.

An Orcas Island Deputy had an abandoned vehicle towed from the intersection of Olga Rd. and Langdon Rd.

25-000277 Trespassing 15:53:50 01/16/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a request to trespass a person from a citizen’s home. A trespass letter was completed for the homeowner to sign.

25-000280 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:54:46 01/16/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a verbal domestic incident. Investigation revealed no crime had been committed. The incident was documented in a report.

25-000282 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 20:11:25 01/16/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a tip 411 report involving an unknown person peering into their residence from the front door. A report was authored.

25-000283 Court Order Violation 20:47:22 01/16/25
A San Juan Deputy took a report of a violation of a court order. A person was said to have contacted a friend of the protected person. Investigation revealed that the order was not violated.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 17
25-000289 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 09:18:02 01/17/25
A Deputy was dispatched to a Malicious Mischief in the San Juan Island area. Deputy observed tire tracks through a yard at the business. Photos and report taken.

25-000294 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 12:56:37 01/17/25
A Lopez resident’s vehicle was taken without permission and abandoned on the side of the road. The incident is under investigation.

25-000295 Controlled Substance Problem 12:57:38 01/17/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of found drugs. A citizen had located a small bag with suspicious white powder in it. The Deputy collected the item and, as there was no evidence to identify the owner, placed it into evidence for destruction.

25-000296 Vicious Animal 15:38:30 01/17/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a dog having attacked a rooster. The dog owner was issued a nuisance dog citation.

25-000301 Trespassing 18:19:14 01/17/25
A San Juan Deputy took a report of trespassing. The reporting party wished to trespass parties who had come to their property, believing them to be suspicious. The Deputy completed trespass warning letters for service.

25-000307 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 23:31:44 01/17/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island took a report of suspicious circumstances. Whether a crime has been committed or not is yet to be determined.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 18
25-000308 Assault – Body Force 00:42:39 01/18/25
Lopez Deputies were called to a local business to investigate an assault. The male suspect was located nearby and arrested.

25-000309 Fraud 07:15:48 01/18/25
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a report of fraud. A resident was defrauded out of $5000.00 through a scam text and email. The investigation is ongoing.

25-000315 Structure Fire 13:32:03 01/18/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded with Orcas Island Fire & Rescue to a structural fire near the Turtleback Mountain area. The residents were evacuated from their home with no injuries. The fire was extinguished and the incident was documented.

25-000316 Parking Problem 13:48:28 01/18/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a parking problem in the West Beach area. A broken-down vehicle without registration was observed blocking an easement to a resident’s driveway and blocking access to the power lines. The vehicle was impounded, and the incident was documented.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of misplaced items. The incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of fraud. The incident is still under investigation.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic. One individual was arrested for assault 4 – DV and was booked into jail.

A Deputy was contacted about a Theft in the San Juan Island area. The person was reporting that items had been removed from their residence. No suspect information at this time. Report taken.

25-000333 CPR ALS 10:29:07 01/19/25
Deputies responded to a Death Investigation. Report taken.

25-000342 Theft 14:23:54 01/19/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to theft call in the Killebrew Lake area. The incident was documented, and an ongoing investigation is underway.

MONDAY, JANUARY 20
25-000352 Domestic Dispute or Assault 00:46:37 01/20/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a domestic incident at a hotel in Friday Harbor. After contacting the involved parties, a female was taken into custody and booked into the San Juan county Jail for Assault in the 4th degree- domestic violence. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report from a concerned reporting party who wanted to remain anonymous. The reporting party was concerned for the safety of others. A report was completed.

25-000373 Harassment 23:02:18 01/20/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of harassment. It was reported that an ex-boyfriend of a person was causing problems and harassing them. A report was completed.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 21
25-000381 Unwanted Person 09:31:55 01/21/25
A Lopez Deputy responded to a reported suspicious vehicle on private property. No persons were seen near it, and the vehicle left a short time later.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to an Agency Assist. The incident was documented.

25-000392 Found Property 14:29:08 01/21/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was given found property. The owner was eventually contacted, and the item was returned. The incident was documented.

25-000394 Theft 15:18:05 01/21/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a Theft of Fuel. An individual was later contacted and booked into the county holding facility for an outstanding Warrant and theft of Motor Vehicle Fuel. The incident was documented.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a domestic incident. A female was taken into custody for Assault in the 4th degree- domestic violence, and was booked into the San Juan County Jail. A report was completed.
