San Juan Deputies responded to an agency assist to take a defendant into custody. The defendant was booked into jail without incident.

An Orcas citizen reported a lost Apple Watch in Buck Park on 02/03/2021. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to an accident with no injury call. A report was taken.

21-001221 Threats 15:56:24 02/11/21
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a call of threats in Eastsound. An information report was filed.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12

A Lopez business reported a theft. A suspect was identified and served with a trespass letter.

21-001242 Theft 09:32:24 02/12/21
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a theft. The suspect was located and was issued a criminal citation for theft in the third degree.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a Fraud call. An information report was filed.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 13
21-001269 Traffic Hazard 05:05:11 02/13/21
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch complaint on Ferry Rd during a snowstorm. The vehicle was unoccupied and there was no evidence of injury or damage to the vehicle. The owner subsequently removed the vehicle. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a vehicle that was stuck in the snow blocking an intersection. The owner was in the process of removing the vehicle when the Deputy arrived. No further action was necessary.

21-001282 Accident-NonInj 10:36:29 02/13/21
A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a report of a vehicle that had slid off a snow covered road and become stuck stranding two people with the vehicle. The vehicle was gone when the Deputy arrived in the area. No further action was necessary.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent on a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow, blocking the road. In checking the area, no such vehicle was located. No further action was necessary.

A Lopez Island Deputy came upon two occupied vehicles stuck in the snow partially blocking an intersection. Both were pulled out by a passing Good Samaritan. No further action was necessary.

A Deputy on San Juan observed a 2WD vehicle sliding on the road then struck a stop sign. The driver was issued infractions for no insurance and expired vehicle registration over two months.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a citizen dispute. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check for a disorderly male subject with a vehicle stuck in the snow. Neither the subject nor vehicle were found.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to investigate a 911 call where it was unclear what the caller needed. Upon arrival, the Deputy discovered domestic disturbance still going on. Upon investigation, there was no evidence that a crime had occurred. A report was taken.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15

A complainant called the Sheriff’s office to report ongoing harassment by a family member. No crime was committed. The caller was provided instructions to obtain a no-contact order.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about concerns about safety conditions from the recent snowfall on a private road on the island.

21-001359 Abandoned Vehicle 09:38:58 02/16/21
A Lopez Island Deputy checked a snowmobile that had been parked on the shoulder of Center Rd for three days and tagged it as abandoned, pending impound if not removed within 24 hours. It was removed within two hours. No further action is necessary.

A Lopez Island Deputy assisted a disabled vehicle at Agate Beach.

21-001368 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 15:32:12 02/16/21
A part time Lopez resident reported seeing footprints in the snow around his house on the security video system. Upon arrival, the Deputy found deer in the yard, and all the tracks in the yard were animal in origin. The house was secure. No further action was necessary.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a mental health call in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.
