A Lopez Island Deputy was called to pick up a license plate that had been found, having apparently fallen off a local vehicle. The Deputy delivered it back to the owner who was unaware that it was even lost. No further action necessary.
20-010783 Malicious Mischief 10:35:45 12/23/20
A Deputy on San Juan took a report of graffiti on a building. A photograph was taken and the incident was documented. There are no workable leads or suspects at this time.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the Eastsound area. A report was filed.

A Deputy responded to an unattended death in Eastsound. It was determined the person died of natural causes. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a citizen assist call. The citizen gave the Deputy some unwanted ammunition that he found abandoned in the woods in Eastern Washington.

Deputies on Orcas responded to a possible domestic near Eastsound. After all parties were interviewed it was deemed that no arrest would be made. A report was taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a suspicious circumstances call. Investigation revealed property had been inadvertently damaged and no crime occurred.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a road struck deer in the road. The deer was dead and off the road.
20-010846 Accident-Injury, Traffic 14:51:02 12/26/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a single-vehicle collision. The driver was charged with Negligent Driving and Driving with a Suspended License.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a vandalism call in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.
We would love a bit more info in the reports. From Friday, Dec. 25 through Tuesday, Dec. 29 there appear to have been some 95 “write-ups” ( 010835 to 010930). Why were only 5 reports written up for the Orcasonian? Just askin’.
We would like a bit n=more information in the Sheriff’s Report. It appears that between Friday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 29 95 incidents were written up (010835 to 010930) , but only 5 made it into the Report for the Orcasonian. Just sayin’
