23-009500 Domestic Dispute or Assault 13:52:54 12/14/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic. An individual was arrested and booked for felony harassment – DV.
23-009508 Assault – Body Force 23:53:09 12/14/23
A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned an assault complaint. The victim was contacted and questioned. The victim did not wish to provide sufficient detail to develop probable cause for an assault charge. A report was authored.

23-009509 Welfare Check 02:07:33 12/15/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a missing elderly person. San Juan Island Fire and Rescue responded to assist and together, with the use of the thermal imaging camera on a drone, the individual was located. The individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.
23-009530 Accident-NonInj 19:34:04 12/15/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a non-injury collision. There were no signs of impairment and the vehicle was able to be removed from the ditch.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16
23-009541 Found Property 18:27:49 12/16/23
Keys were turned into a Deputy on Orcas. There was no way to identify the owner. They have been booked into evidence as found property.
23-009543 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 19:11:44 12/16/23
A Lopez Deputy responded when a man on Port Stanley Road walked onto his neighbor’s property. He took a shovel, a bowl, and attempted to enter a shed structure. The matter is under investigation.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17
23-009547 Theft 09:24:55 12/17/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft in the San Juan Island area in reference to a Theft. Two packages were taken from in front of a gate. The incident was captured on video. The person was identified and arrested for Theft.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 18
23-009564 Theft 09:19:02 12/18/23
A report of mail theft was made on San Juan Island. The mail was found nearby and returned by a neighbor. The Christmas card was opened, but nothing was taken. No further information at this time.
23-009567 Theft 10:28:08 12/18/23
A report of mail theft was made on San Juan Island. A package was taken from their mailbox by an unknown individual. The package was torn open, but the contents were still inside. It is unknown where the package was found, but was returned by an unknown good Samaritan.

A Lopez resident called regarding a large amount of junk left behind by a former tenant. This is a civil issue, and a courtesy report was completed.
23-009579 Citizen Assist 15:23:42 12/18/23
A Deputy received a report of Island residents having been scammed by a faith healer. The victims and suspects have yet to be positively identified.
23-009581 Assault – Body Force 16:24:20 12/18/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of an assault. The reporting party did not wish to pursue criminal charges. After an investigation, there was a lack of sufficient evidence to prove that the suspect intended to harm the reporting party. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a theft of a package. Currently there are no suspects.
23-009586 Citizen Dispute 23:17:52 12/18/23
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a citizen dispute between a couple. The individuals had been arguing on and off for a couple of days, no report of physical violence was made. They agreed to sleep separately for the night. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of mail theft. The mail was located and returned to the owner by a good samaritan. It was reported that the Christmas cards had been opened and a package was possibly missing. A report was completed.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20
23-009616 Trouble Unknown 00:04:56 12/20/23
Deputies on Orcas responded to a domestic near Obstruction Pass. After a thorough search of the area the suspect was not located. The case is ongoing.
