A Deputy received a report of a traffic collision in the 100 block of Spring St. The Deputy observed minor damage to both vehicles.

An Orcas Deputy investigated a two vehicle non-injury traffic collision on Orcas Road. Upon completion of the investigation both drivers were issued infractions related to the collision.

A Deputy responded to a reported altercation at a local business in Eastsound. The business requested the suspect be trespassed. The suspect was located and a trespass warning letter was issued. No further action taken.
18-009355 Traffic Violation 15:42:06 12/12/18
A Lopez Island Deputy issued a motorist a ticket for passing a stopped school bus while its flashing red lights and stop paddle was activated to offload school children in the 4100 block of Center Road.
18-009361 Boating Problem 18:14:59 12/12/18
Two men were able to swim to the east shore of Lopez Island after their boat was swamped, capsized and sunk as they attempted to retrieve a sailboat that had been blown adrift from its mooring and run aground by high winds.

A Deputy received a harassment complaint from Lopez Island residents. It was learned that the incident involved a threat with a knife. An investigation is being conducted.

An inmate escaped from work crew by failing to return for the remainder of his sentence. He also failed to return the equipment assigned to him valued at $1050.00.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a reported theft. It was discovered that animals from a life sized nativity scene and some holiday spirit had been stolen in the night. The life sized flat animals were valued at $300. The holiday spirit lost was priceless but had no monetary value.

A Deputy responded to a citizen dispute in the Lopez Village. A Lopez Island resident was upset at another resident regarding a missing mail parcel which he believed to be stolen. The two involved individuals separated. A report was completed.

A Deputy received a call regarding found property near the Lopez Village. The reporting person believed the items might be related to stolen mail parcels. The investigation revealed no evidence that the items were stolen. A report was completed.
