An Orcas Deputy responded to a hit-n-run call. The incident happened a few days prior. A statement and photographs were taken. No suspects at this time.

18-002372 Traffic Hazard 13:07:06 04/11/18
A Lopez Island Deputy came upon two trees that had blown down completely blocking Aleck Bay Rd. A Public Works crew responded to cut up the trees, clearing the roadway.

18-002374 Abandoned Vehicle 14:40:06 04/11/18
A Lopez Island business owner called regarding an abandoned vehicle left on private property. Information was provided on the process of having the vehicle removed.

18-002378 Trouble Unknown 17:52:14 04/11/18
A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to investigate a 911 hang up call. No problem was found at the residence, and the 911 call was believed to have been inadvertent. No further action is necessary.

A Lopez Deputy was contacted regarding a landlord and tenant dispute. A report was completed and a civil stand-by performed.

Deputies were dispatched to a mentally unstable person in Friday Harbor. Contact was made and later they were transported to a medical facility for evaluation.

18-002411 Traffic Stop 14:53:02 04/13/18
A Deputy on Orcas stopped a vehicle with no license plates. The passenger was arrested on two felony warrants and drug possession.

18-002422 Malicious Mischief 21:15:40 04/13/18
A Deputy took a report of a vandalism on County Property. Graffiti was found and a known suspect tag was used. The investigation is ongoing.

18-002423 Assault – Body Force 21:39:05 04/13/18
Deputies were dispatched to a report of Domestic Violence in Friday Harbor. The suspect was arrested for Domestic Assault 4th Degree/DV.

A Lopez Fire and EMS requested a Deputy for a reckless burning incident. A report was completed and the investigation is on-going.

18-002430 Citizen Assist 12:05:45 04/14/18
A Lopez Deputy was contacted regarding a possible protection order violation. The involved parties were interviewed and an informational report was completed.

18-002433 Vicious Animal 14:45:24 04/14/18
A Deputy on Orcas responded to an animal problem. A report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a report of a Fraud call in Friday Harbor at Kings Market. The Deputy met with the caller, gathered the evidence, and completed a report.

18-002442 Traffic Stop 19:28:04 04/14/18
A Lopez Island woman was stopped by a Deputy for speeding on Fisherman Bay Rd. She was subsequently arrested for DUI, Resisting Arrest and Assault IV. She was lodged in jail in Friday Harbor pending a court appearance.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to the schools admin building for a report of vandalism. It appeared someone tried to pry the front door open, damaging the door frame. A report was taken.

On the date and time listed, Complainant brought the listed credit card case and contents to the Dispatch window. RP stated he had found the items on First Street, on the sidewalk fronting the Golden Triangle Restaurant. All items were wet, but otherwise in decent condition.

18-002470 Welfare Check 13:24:12 04/16/18
A Deputy responded to a report of a Welfare Check in Friday Harbor. The Deputy spoke with the individual involved, completed a report, and referred the report to Compass Health for follow-up.

18-002472 Trespassing 16:20:15 04/16/18
A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding an on-going neighbor dispute over use of an easement between adjoining properties. An information report was taken.

18-002474 Burglary – Residential 17:31:35 04/16/18
A Deputy responded to a residential burglary in the Olga area. Further investigation found that person(s) unknown had attempted to pry open several doors on a single residence but were not able to gain entry. The case is under further investigation.

18-002475 Fraud 19:11:44 04/16/18
A Lopez Island woman reported a computer fraud scam in which she received a security alert warning on her computer directing her to call a help desk that then requested payment for tech support. A report was taken.

Deputies were dispatched to a verbal domestic in Friday Harbor. Both Deputies learned that it was only verbal and both parties separated for the evening.

18-002498 Assault – Body Force 22:51:37 04/17/18
A Deputy responded to an apparent assault which occurred at a business in Eastsound. Further investigation revealed that a mid aged male walked up and slapped another male sitting in a chair. Video surveillance was obtained. The identity of the suspect is still being sought. Case continues.
