We, the Members of the San Juan County Deputy Sheriff’s Guild, by majority vote endorse Ron Krebs for election as Sheriff.
The Sheriff’s Office is at critically low staffing levels and being the only 24/7 department in San Juan County has caused burn-out and low morale. We believe Ron Krebs will meet our expectations of community policing, responsiveness, communication and will improve morale and recruitment within the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office.
The Guild anticipates he will build upon established relationships within the community and the department. Our hope is to continue to foster strong relations with the public and agencies our department works with. Ron Krebs will continue to ensure the department has the tools and staffing necessary to continue to be effective in our line of work.
The Sheriff’s Guild currently consists of 24 members; 3 Sergeants, 2 Detectives, 10 Deputies, 2 Corrections Officers, 1 Dispatch Supervisor, and 6 Dispatchers.
